The larger context of education is to prepare futuristic citizens for a meaningful and productive life in a globalized society. It is expected to prepare the students for life by making students physically fit, mentally alert and emotionally balanced. Education is not a physical thing that can be delivered through the post or through a teacher. Fertile and robust education is always created, rooted in the physical and cultural soil of the child, and nourished through interaction with parents, teachers, fellow students and the community. As India makes rapid strides into the 21st Centaury in almost every aspect, we are today on the fascinating threshold for the right balance for coexistence between the past and present, the old and the new, the heritage and the modernity, the spiritual and the material, the global and the local, the universal and the individual. Furthermore, a vibrant future is constantly evolving- a future of collaborative as well as individualistic learning and existence; a future which will need imagination, creativity, multiple skills international-mindedness, quick-wittedness and an inherent power of anticipation for success.

Our challenge is to encourage, connect, and foster learning throughout a child’s day. A lifelong habit of seeking knowledge involves the shaping of attitudes and cultivation of sensitivities, so that an individual is at once a part of society and apart in the way he thinks, feels, works and heaves.
In a rapidly evolving world, a school, ideally, needs to be a place exposing the learner to not just enhanced learning but, more importantly, preparing for a successful journey through life itself. It must not just take on the responsibility of preparing for the future, but to help understand and carry along the knowledge and wisdom of the past too. On the one hand, to meet the demands of the ever changing competitiveness, one must simply learn to appreciate constant change. On the other one must not lose sight of things which are constant or at least need to be like human values, the very aspect of creation and being, and the social, moral and cultural ethics of a family and society at large.
